Default Vossen wheel help.....

Hope all is well forum friends.

I need some help. Here is the story. Went to take F to get aligned. Realized one of my wheels is cracked (hairline) where spoke meets the wheel. I reached out to Vossen and they are replacing all 4 wheels as they dont make the CV3 anymore but now the CV3r which is exact same wheel. I currently have silver on the SFP (love it but brake dust is crucial) so I will be going to the graphite CV3r.

Anyways here is my issue. My front wheel was 20x9 +38 but they dont make that offset anymore. So I have 2 choices. go with 20x9 +32 which will be 6mm more aggressive or go with a 20x8.5 +38 which I think will look terrible. I have added some pictures to help. When I get home I will add a close up of how it looks now.

Question is will the 6mm be to much and stick out???

I had the exact same setup/sizes, the +32 offset up front will be fine. I did rub just slightly over dips/bumps on the highway with 245/30/20 Nitto NT555's, but that may have been due to my front spring rates being too soft.

I'd go with the 20x9 +32 personally and roll the fender
If you dont want to roll the fenders get the 20x8.5 +38s, but it'll be a pretty weak fitment

CV3s are looking good on your rides!

I'd get rid of the Vossens and get better wheels. But in your case do the wider setup and roll your fenders. You could adjust the camber as well so you dont rub.

LOL I completely agree with everybody on getting rid of the wheels when Vossen sends you the replacements....

These wheels combined w the tires were CRAZY heavy, felt like I lost 15whp when I had them on.

Thanks for this post. I tried looking up vossen cv3 graphite on SFP and couldn't find any really good pics. This really helped out my decision. Pics to come. I will be going with a smaller tire to help rubbing.

I will also be selling my vossens. They are quite heavy, and quality in the cv3 is a widespread problem. Got the replacement cv3r gloss graphite, they seem to built a hair more sturdy where the spoke meets the barrel, hard separating from them though Love the look... mines +38 front +45 in the rear, sounds like they discontinued them...

Well damn. Now im worried.

Cant beat a free set of wheels. This guy had the same issue and def has the new ones. I will keep a look out and check them daily. If I have another issue I will replace on vossen cost and sell wheels on craigslist.

Love the look and not a fan of much else on the ISF. But im not always fashion over function especially when there is a lot ridding on your wheels.

Sell the free set and buy a quality wheel. It's very common for Vossens to break and crack. Cheap cast wheels.
