Default Funny Dealership Story

Hey guys! I live in Houston, Texas and last week I took my car to Northside Lexus. I always go there to buy parts for my car and some of the rudest people ever work there. Every time I walk to the service department, I get stopped by a salesman, asking where I am headed like they are hall monitors instead of asking if I need help.

So today I picked up my car and as I was leaving, I saw one of the managers in a used RCF pull up. I thought I'd make a joke since we were both in F's. But I turned out to be wrong haha.

I attached a video my buddy took. Just having some fun

LMAO!

Reminds me of the Jerks(Parts Department) I dealt with at Lexus of New Orleans. Long story short the parts counter guy tried to feed me a load of crap about no mark up on keys and he can't get keys personally at a lower cost.
Little did he know I'm a Parts Director of a dealership myself and knew better. I just looked at him and laughed.

The **** i get for being how old i am at this Lexus dealership " go back and get you dad to bring it back in for an oil change" I was shocked the fact that i was in business clothes and ( i'm studying automotive marketing and management so im learning right now how to treat customers and customer retention and possible prospecting) i was shell shocked when i was being told this by a Lexus employee. I made it my goal to never set foot in that dealership. it will remain nameless because i love and dream to work for Lexus. Yes i'm under 20 and own a F but come on man i at least paid for it.

I bet you will get that reaction at 90% of dealerships. If you look young and show up at a high end dealership they are going to treat you like crap no matter how much money you have. They wont let you touch the cars literally and will treat you like a second class individual. (well documented on this site**Many F owners are young**) Once they figure out you have money, then they will take you seriously.

How old are you anyways bud?

Enjoy the car, be safe out there.

I was 29 when I got my ISF. I looked young to boot. Driving back to work after being onsite in DC I stopped by a dealership in my modded STi.

I talked with a sales guy briefly, asked if they had a black ISF, they did and I had keys in hand within 15 minutes test driving alone!

I worked out a deal, got a good trade in, created a safe tune for my STi on my laptop while signing docs, flashed old car to be safe, and transfered my crap to the new car.

I drove back to work an hour or so later with a new car.

I always sense a bad vibe when I'm at Northside Lexus.

Too Funny.... I get the opposite at the dealership in San Antonio. Staff is pretty cool and always looking to talk about the ISF.
