Smile H.R.E Wheels Flow Form Photo Shoot .....Take 2 !!! Nailed it !!

Hey guys just got the photos in form the 2nd HRE Wheels Flow form photo shoot. I thought that the last set was pretty solid but John Bazay nailed it on this set !!!!!!!!!.

Thought you guys might like to see the new batch. I could not be happier with these HRE wheels. To be totally honest I never thought that a set of HRE's would ever really be in my price range. These Flow Form wheels are comparable to most solid wheels on the market and are made to those famous HRE standards, they look amazing, and they hold up very well on the track......AND they make a 19x11 in a +55 offset so the F guys can get some real rubber with the right width wheel diameter to the rear. You can easily run a 295 with just a roll and minor shaving. ( shop rolled my rears and I shaved the extra 1/2mm in a 2" section. Super easy ). Most people don't realize that wanting a 295 rear and getting it to work , let alone the coveted and rare 305 rear for the dudes who play with camber and suspensions, are two different things. Most companies don't even offer anything near a +55. Most ( especially the nice JDM wheels ) will force you to run a wheel that is barely .5" wider than stock front and rear and stick you with the same 245/275 set up you could have run with your o.e.m wheels , if you don't mind the wheel gap ( I did ). The Flow form wheels are lighter than the o.e.m BBS wheels and are much wider ( rear especially ). I believe the total reduction in unsprung mass was 13.8 lbs even with the wider tires . If I switch back to the PSS it will be at least 17.8 lbs( need to verify on the PSS weights exactly ).

Honestly, I am offering this info and my opinion on this wheel because anyone who who has shopped for wheels for the IS-F and wanted a 255/295 ( o.e.m diameter and in my opinion the ideal size to use for after market wheel and tire set up on the ISF cosmetically and for maximal performance ) knows it's not as easy as just pointing a wheel you like and think its going to clear. Honestly after 4 months of looking, racking my brain, and stressing it I ultimately decided on HRE because of the reputation for quality, offset and size, as well as the look ( I dig spokes personally ).

Signed up for track day #13 and #14 ( registration is still unopened on #15 ). Super excited to put the the wheels to the test as well as to looking damn sharp when I come off the track. I love the spokes.............Let the haters count the spokes as I roll by........

Much love to the Club Lexus F'ers out there.

FLOW FLORM ........haha double F !!!!It was meant to be !

I8ABMR, are you on stock height? I love my 2012 ISF wheels and would never part with them but your setup has really given me second thoughts lol.

Looking great mate.

Those photos are spot on!

Good to know what's out there. Might look at getting a set of those for track duty.

Looks great!

Can you send me a pic of where you had to shave after rolling your fenders? I've rolled mine but it's still rubbing on something and I'm having trouble figuring out where.

Suspension is 100% stock minus the RR racing bushings and the rear sway bar. Totally stock height

STLblueF this is what I have

It's most likely happening right where the fender meets the bumper inside the well. I used that piece of cardboard between the body and the fender so that the file wouldnt damage the painted bumper. Ghetto but effective Also filed 1/2mm off the area of the fender right above where the body meets the bumper. Roughly 10 o'clock on the fender . Let me know if that helps. I can also take some more pics. My mac book is from 09 LMAO So I had to remove pics to make some space

I got you bud !! Here are a couple more I found from my original wheel and tire thread

Hope this helps bro !! Just use the jack to raise the car 2-3" and then just file that section down. When I was looking at the Forgestars and was looking at your fitment you are running a slightly more aggressive offset I think . I used a $12 metal file , Dr color ship, and then marine sealant . All at Lowes

In case you want to look around

Actually my rears are only 10" wide and are +45, so they are slightly less aggressive than your setup (and you are running 295's to my 285's). I'll try filing those areas down and see if that helps. Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Back on topic - those are some awesome pictures.
