Will a GS-F Steering Wheel fit an IS-F?
Like the title says - will a GS-F Steering Wheel fit an IS-F?
Drove one this weekend and loved the look and wider feel. I know there are a bevy of steering wheel solutions for the IS-F but it could be interesting to carry this over if possible.

same steering wheel that is on the RCF.
while is suspect it will "fit" I also suspect you will have issue with the steering controls.
your controls from the ISF will not move over as the under frame design is different, so the mounting/bolt locations are different:
ISF wheel frame:

GSF/RCF frame:

now you might be able to also swap in the GSF/RCF controls and air bag, the question would then be whether or not they work the same to control your vehicle.

It feels like it would be more trouble than it's worth. After driving the GS-F, i cant help but feel like the IS-F wheel is so thin.
My car is L Certified - any one have experience swapping the steering wheel and maintaining the warranty? I guess I could have the current steering wheel re-wrapped...

Did you mention in the thread where you picked that up? Sorry if I missed that. Would be interested in an all leather version.
Thanks

If you like thicker wheels, try out a 2011+ ISF wheel. Should be direct swap in for your 2010, It feels substantially thicker than the older ones.
As per Flowrider's thread, I used his measurements for his stock 08-10 ISF wheel vs. my 2011+ wheel for comparison. I used a digital caliper.
08-10 wheel vs. 2011+ wheel
Top OD - 1.15" vs. 1.4"
Grip OD - 1.11" vs. 1.45"
Above Grip OD - 1.35" vs. 1.55"
Just Above the Above Grip OD - 1.15" vs. 1.42"
Bottom OD - 1.16" vs. 1.35"

your warranty on the wheel would be void, and on anything that they claim the wheel can affect..
for example, if the steering controls all of a sudden stop working.
or the airbag does not go off. A case could be made against the steering wheel.
but if your alternator or A/C were to fail, that would not be a direct cause of changing the steering wheel.

Agree with op that the stock wheel is too thin.
Here's mine after a retrim. It was an aftermarket wheel from the guys in Cali that sell through eBay. I've had them put another full skin of leather on it, then another layer of leather top and bottom, and alcantara on both sides. They also added a red leather racing band at 12 o'clock, and finished it with the OEM style light blue stitching.
Hope you like it.
The hand shots give you a gauge of the thickness.
Love how it turned out.
