I have a feeling the X pipe will completely remove that AMG tone you love. I wouldn't suggest it if that's the part you love about your exhaust. Especially if you have dyno proven that there's no loss of power from the divorced system.

Apologies for the newb question, but if I understand this correctly, this exhaust does not keep the oem cats? Too bad cause can't really pass emission test where I live. Would totally have jumped on one otherwise

That's not quite correct.
This exhaust doesn't remove the primary cats you have in your OEM intake manifolds.
It doesn't have to remove your secondary cats either should you wish to keep both sets.
We here in the UK also need cat's to drive on the roads. My exhaust currently has the primary cats in place. It passed our annual check (MOT) like that without issue.
Even when I add PPE headers, I'm fitting some custom PPE midpipes with hi-flow cats.
