I hear you mate.

Thing is, surely you would be better off having too much, and taking bits away, rather than getting too little, and bleeding from your ears!

I'm sure you guys have shops that could remove bits and attach some 2.5' straight pipe?

If the price doesn't vary that much by having the x pipe and additional silencers, I'd suggest going that route.

Hopefully tomorrow nights videos will help you guys decide.

Hi Guys,

So big tunnel was a bust!

Lorry broke down in the middle of the highway, so traffic was heavy all the way through the tunnel!

Did get some good video though in other places.

My favourite was the last one. I've driven that particular road for 18yrs now. It's my personal test track!

On to the video's!

Can we get some outside revs? In park, or if possible, any drive by

Thanks!

Yes, I agree with a drive by.

Will try and get those for you guys.

Outside revs were difficult to do on my own!

Same with a drive by!

Just lay a brick on the accelerator

It sounds great, especially the last clip on your favorite road.

So I got a question, about the silencers that is. Will silencers affect performance in any way? I know for a fact that silencers reduce the effectiveness of a gun but exhaust fumes and bullets are two different things obviously. Since the IS-F is my new daily I'm leaning more towards the silencer option. If it doesn't impact performance at all and doesn't weigh much then count me in !

You play too much call of duty. Modern day silencers (not all, but some) don't decrease effectiveness.

Lol, I have friends (honest! ), just none that are around where I live!

It's not helped that I had issues with the seat brackets either, but hoping to do the stationary cold start with some revs, and maybe a few drive by vid's if I get time.

It's not really lost anything with the X pipe (the decibel readings Ian mentioned in the post Josh put up the other day prove that!), more refined the sound into something more purposeful, and with a lot less drone!

I really think you guys need to consider going one of two ways as I mentioned before. Either the same system as I have now (without my one-off ceramic coated black OEM style tips), or the system I had before this one (so no X pipe).

I know Ian is patiently waiting to get these built for you guys (after I told him there was loads of interest etc), so if there is something I can do to help give you guys the final push you need to get ordering, let me know.

I hands down believe you guys will be really pleased with these exhausts. Just stay away from the original idea of the non-silenced version!

Cheers for now.

Peter

If you do decide to go with the X pipe, I would suggest you opt to go without the extra silencers in place of the secondary cats.

Should sound great when added to a set of PPE/SIKKY/Novel headers.

Thanks Pete, I'm thinking you're right. NO x pipe with silencers should sound pretty good.

Most silencers actually increase the velocity of the cartridge fired, like adding extra bbl length. Way too much CoD for that guy - they work through entirely similar principles, which is slowing down exhaust gasses as the exit the system.
