You can cancel temp manual by holding the upshift for 3 seconds.

Also, there's a way to cut off the annoying seat belt reminder if you haven't already.
It's called S mode. It limits the highest gear the transmission will use. It is nothing like manual mode. It retains all the auto features - flex lock, upshift and downshift as if you were in D, but simply limits the highest gear you can use. Old school auto slushbox.

For the seat belt reminder I bought these. Have them in both of my cars.

What for? You don't wear seat belts? Hoping the air bags will be good enough?

LOL at their "CYA" disclaimer.

"Do not use this to plug in seat when passenger is in the seat"

When I started (driving mid 70's) seat belts were not the law. When states started requiring them lots of people including myself didn't like it. Well, we all got used to them and now it's like a 2nd nature when I get into a car. There are rare instances when a seat belt would cause more bad than good, but like I said rare. Survivability is the key and a seat belt will greatly increase your chances.
I don't believe in airbags. I had several fractures in my sternum when a steering wheel bag went off. I'm sure I would have been better off with just the seat belt.

Agreed. I would rather air bags were optional. It would reduce weight and complexity in the car, and I wouldn't get punched by Mike Tyson as a response to something where I am already protected by the seat belt.

I put my elbow through the windshield of a '63 Ford Falcon in 1973 when we were hit head on by a drunk driver who failed to negotiate a turn. The car did not have seat belts. Most, if not all, of my injuries would have been avoided has seat belts been in the car. They were not available in the Falcon until '64. The car's owner had purchased, but not yet installed the belts. I got off easy. My sister did not. I always, always, always wear my seat belt. I despise air bags after seeing what they did to my ex in my '94 Supra.

What the heck for That's the, excuse me, stupidest accessory I've ever seen

Back in 1962, When the manufacturer's first started installing mounting places for seat belts (but no seat belts). I went to, I believe Pep Boys, and installed them myself into my first new car, a brand new Mercury Meteor S33. Little did we know than, that we also needed the shoulder harness

And Air Bags - They scare the hell out of me

Lou
