Default Remote doesn't always work.

Ever since I've owned my car, it's always kind of had trouble locking. At first it was rare, once in a while it wouldn't lock and I thought it was because I wasn't hearing the beep as I walked away but now it's happening like once every other day. I changed out my battery about 2 months ago so it shouldn't be the battery. The remote lights up and everything when I press it, it just doesn't lock the car. No sound or light coming from the car. Any clue what the issue is?

same thing happend to me I got two keys luckily and the other one was brand new but until my old one breaks I wont bust out the brand new key fob, what I did was dissassemble the remote fob (be careful/gentle) and dont break anything during the process and you will see there was a lot of dirt and grime clean that up with some quick detailer and it will work like new again... Helped a lot the buttons work a lot better now...

Again be careful not to break it if your opening it. Its a very expensive piece unlike your average universal tv remote it costs over $100..

Hope that helps...

That's the weird part too. I would use the button on the door handle and same thing. No bueno.

Alright. I'll try this when I get home. I'll update this thread in a week or so to see if that has helped it. Thanks for the tip! 👍

Try using your other remote. I've had this issue before and it wasn't the battery either, so I just switched remotes.

You replaced the car battery or remote battery?
