Default MyLexus service history

Been looking to buy an is-f and that site has saved me from two or three vehicles that have been wrecked but not shown on carfax or even reported by dealer. Its in the service history notes if you read them often times.

One was a '12 on ebay for 34k. front suspension damaged and could not be fixed. along with a couple others I read up on. Do your homework and sometimes it pays off.

May end up with it but looking for lower miles. I plan on keeping it awhile so i figure it would be best to go low.

Good call! My Lexus service history has proven to me to be more reliable than car fax. You won't see a lot of the fine detail of the vehicle in the car fax.

Lexus service history wouldn't tell you anything about my car except when warranty work was done.

If you don't know how to inspect a car yourself, hire someone who does.

Well isnt that special.

Thats why I said it helps you on some. Before you get to the point of inspection, it can help narrow the list down. Especially out of state.

Nothing beats having a qualified person look at the car. Even if it has an accident in its history, it isn't a disqualifer if the repair work has been accomplished in a craftsman fashion.

Too many people on this forum are too dependent on the unqualified opinions of services completely unconcerned about your needs.

Also, a car with a "clean" history doesn't mean anything of value.

Once again, I said its info which is good to know before you get to the point of having to pay someone to inspect a vehicle. (I cant do so myself out of state and not really qualified to do so anyhow).

For some a wreck may be a disqualifier. Either way, a one minute input of a vin number is a great resource for many needing a quick lookover a car's service history in many cases.

Or a wreck not disclosed or a part that was deemed not fixable by the dealership.

No one said a clean history meant anything or that a wrecked car is unfixable. You're arguing with yourself in a thread not even discussing these tangents.

Now back on topic, mylexus is a great resource for some. It often helps me weed out troublesome cars. Just a heads up because I had forgotten about it when purchasing my is350 a couple years ago.
