Had PPE headers and exhuast (both brand new) installed by Tommy Musicbox. I've noticed this ticking sound when doing cold starts but goes away after. Is this the same sound you guys are talking about? Or is it normal? It would be weird since these are new headers and there can't be a crack

+1. Sounds like there is a leak at one cylinder.

Like a New Car...
Picked the car up from the shop last week. Old parts replaced with new OEM ones. Really happy with the results.
No more farm equipment sounds, micro-shimmies at idle, or macro-floppies during WOT up-shifts.
Just refined and responsive.
New starter sounds more enthusiastic, too.
Passenger-side (right) exhaust manifold weld failed at same location as everyone else's, at port nearest the firewall. It was deemed un-repairable, not sufficient parent material left for a reliable weld. Driver's-side (left) manifold was in good condition, no weld failures.
Anyone know a good place to recycle catalytic converters in Southern California?
Passenger-side (right) exhaust manifold weld failure.
Passenger-side (right) exhaust manifold weld failure, close-up 1.
Passenger-side (right) exhaust manifold weld failure, close-up 2.
Old transmission mount. I can compress it slightly with one hand.
Old motor mount. Mechanic estimated it had been compressed vertically at least 0.25in vs new one.

Mark DiBella of MD Automotive in Westminster, CA. He was Jackson Racing's lead mechanic. He has taken great care of me and my cars over the years. Highly recommended.
