Color & Age will play a big roll...

Some do it every 30K.. Some do it every 60K..

Some will do it more often if the Road Race on weekends

If you’re not going to flush your holes out with water.. Make sure to put on a mask & goggles and clean them out with high pressure air..

I think climate also. Living in a dry climate (Arizona). I believe fluid will last longer than those who live in a humid environment. I didn't bleed my brakes for over 7 years, and the old fluid still looked pretty good and brake feel was still good. And YES - I know I waited much too long

No harm Lou...

I just did mine on my "FWY Queen" for the first time...

My color was not dark at all, but its nice to have fresh liquid gold fluid in there..

Exactly. The fluid is hygroscopic to ensure it absorbs any water that finds its way into the system, and that means even humidity will be pulled into the fluid over time which is why you are never to use fluid from a bottle previously opened. When you seal it after use, the air inside has water vapor in it, and the fluid will not be "dry." But if you live in a place where humidity is consistently very low, you won't have nearly the problems you will if you live in a humid place.

The reason the fluid is hygroscopic is to prevent internal corrosion. Internal corrosion could cause catastrophic failure, and it will fail at the moment you need it most because that's when you put the highest stress on the system.

YUP !!! Im going to destroy what little I have left on the current pads and then going to order a fresh set of Yokohama AD08Rs, do new pads , and a new windshield for the Summer.

I hope this info with the pics makes you feel a little better about the weird angle thing. Not sure why they are going so fast though but rest assured the angle is normal. I think its odd that the dealer wants them replaced at 4mm when they are like maybe 8-10mm. Im going to run them down to 3mm and then replace. They are squeaky as hell right now.
