Yes, indeed. I considered putting the Alcantara covers on it, but it would look too weird. I would have to do the whole car for that.
No pics, it just looks like a brand new '08 seat without the hole, the scuffs, or the nasty scratch.
If you are not familiar with upholstery and do not have at least decent quality hog ring pliers, this would not be a good platform to learn on. There is a lot of PITA work installing hog rings because my tools are hand tools, not the pneumatic or electric tools they use at the factory, so it's a delicate dance between holding the ring in the pliers while gripping them hard enough to get in place without crushing the ring before you get it positioned. I was looking hard at pneumatic hog ring tools immediately after finishing this job.

I just put new leather on the driver's seat tonight. What a massive PITA job, but i had separation on the driver's outer bolster and the bottom had similar wear without actually splitting like the top part did.
Anyone saying you can adjust the OEM set up is not familiar with how it is built. The hair dryer might work, dunno, never tried. I've never been too worried about anything with seats until the leather is badly scratched or the seams are wearing through, both of which the dark leather in the IS F is known for in higher mileage cars.
My seat looks brand new today!
