I've had my insert for close to 7 years now. IMO, I like the look better. Please no flames, it's all about personal preference.

Not difficult at all. Takes minutes to remove the rear seat assembly and unclip the centre console. Anyone with basic mechanical skill can do it.

Here's mine skinned in genuine carbon fibre.

Looks fantastic.. I love the look with the matching rear silver carbon tray. Reached out to BPAuto to see if they can recreate something like this!

I did the same. They PM'd me and asked for a pic of the rear tray. Haven't received a response from them since.

Arrgggg I want to do this and also the front center console and doors in black. Can't stand the tacky silver CF.

Thanks.

Did the same with the centre console up front, and the door switch controls.

BUMP! UPDATE!

I've emailed back and forth with Bo from BPAuto and spoke on the phone yesterday. They're going to be doing some research and brainstorming and will be getting back to me sometime this week or next. So we might have another solution for replacing that out of place plastic tray with something else. I'll update again when I hear more

Dope, can't wait for an answer. I don't mind taking all of my parts out and sending them while driving around with no interior. Definitely worth it to get rid of this god awful silver CF and move to black!

Don't have the silver "CF" re-skinned. As much as I agree with you about the silver, there are plenty of people in the 250/350 forum that will pay good money for the F trim. Troll e-bay for the trim pieces from a 250/350 that you want re-skinned, have them skinned, then sell the F trim on the classified section. In the end the real CF wrap won't cost much because you will recoup the cost selling your silver trim.
