Getting new tires, opinions?

MPSS is best tire in just about every category I have seen when new. It is one of the lightest tires with a decent treadwear rating as well.
However, it is by far one of the most expensive tires and there is some suggestion that they don't heat cycle or age very well, with the compound tending to lose significant grip as they get older and more worn. When I took my PSS rears off, they spun with every hard launch. The new S-04s remedied that and they aged very well on my last car. Knowing I am going to destroy the rears way faster than the front, I decided to go with the cheaper/slightly less performance Bridgestone S-04s.
