Hi everyone,
New to the forums, shopping around for an ISF in the $30K range.
I like this one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-IS-4dr...m=301975475702
It's local to me and the added bolt ons a previous owner did are nice, but I ran an Autocheck and noticed it has 2 accidents. One is a front impact, and the other is a multiple collision points impact. Title comes up as clear, so who knows how much damage occurred.
Mileage is low, but it seems like $32.5K is on the higher side for one with two previous accidents. What do you guys think it's worth or would you skip it due to the accidents?
Thanks

Skip it, book value according to NADA is $30,000 So they're asking more than book value for something with 2 accidents.
I think they will be sitting on it for a while until they come way down on their price.

Thanks for the replies guys. It has been on ebay for a good 6 months, on and off. I noticed they didn't provide a vehicle history report on their listing either..
Guess I'll keep searching. Not too many to pick from with sub 50K miles
Can't wait to own one though, I'm ready to upgrade from my 2005 M3. (Nothing but issues). I know this is the most reliable luxury performance sedan.

We had some members (me included) who waited for a while until they found what they wanted. My situation was a little easier after looking at used ones, I bought a new 2013 in the color I wanted.
Don't settle with this purchase, some ISF's on eBay are actually quite nice, so keep looking.

Here are a few that are close to me. I would drive and look at them for you if needed.

FYI I just ran the service history on the car...
It's had the water pump changed twice, and just recently, at 44K miles, had at least one head redone.
Oddly enough the carfax is clean.
If it was in nice shape $32,500 is fair retail money, but not with issues and multiple accidents in its' history. On a wholesale level IS-Fs are sort of like Scion TCs; most of the ones that you see have been smacked up but the rare pristine ones bring absolute moon shot money.
As a Lexus dealer I would put $23-24K on this car as a Trade-In. Were it pristine I wouldn't be afraid of it at $28K.
