You installed simulators when you did your equal length headers?? I thought you had the RR-Tune which would negate the need for simulators

okay got the lowdown from the horses mouth as they say.

simulators conditioners not needed if you have cats installed as I do. O2 conditioners on my car were removed.

^^^^I don't see how it would make any difference if you have cats or not with conditioners, simulators or the tune.

Unless your car is from out of the US, after market cats don't clean the exhaust enough to not trigger a cell. If you get after market headers, you'll need a simulator/conditioner or a tune. Even if you install after market cats.

okay can authoritatively respond now. Grounding issue resolved, o2 conditioners uninstalled and violla, car runs as good as it did first time I drove off after header install.

short answer my initial impression was CORRECT, WAY LESS DRONE, way less VIBRATION, only pure EL Header and Qes exhaust sound!

im not kidding huge difference, worth it alone simply for removal of the drone/ resonance.

now that the car is all heathy again, it's easy to tell. It's unquestionably BETTER LIKE 90% eliminated.

ill get more sound clips up now that's she's healthy.

thanks to mike @FIGS and Simon @ rr for helping remote diagnose and resolve. Really appreciated it from both of you guys. (mike u nailed it, loose ground connection in wire bundle)

hope that helps folks figure out what's best for them

for me

same power gain
+
el sound
+
drone killer

win win win

just going off direct advice I got from mike and Simon

my codes btw were unrelated to emissions control issues so it maybe that your right and unrelated. Had conditioners revmoved because

a. Unnecessary and potential for problems.
b. Rr tune suppresses cel codes for emissions issues anyway.

so just as a precaution based on advice and to avoid any potential issue just had them removed, unneeded at any rate POSSIBLY problematic.

btw for FYI dipstick solution (relocation ) was required on my el header install, for planning purposes for those thinking about going this route

Great to hear you got your issue resolved, IredSF.

Scheduled an appoinment for 9/13 to have my long tube el headers installed. Will be ditching the aftermarket cats at the same time, f the smell. Was going to install 'em myself next year, but after hearing how they sound I can't wait.

Sub. Interested to see where this goes. I have been holding off on exhaust and headers, with all the new developments of the tune and supercharger etc.... Plus I am still really undecided on which way I want to go.
