Default Another track and another victim for the F .

I have attended roughly a dozen track days with my F over last 18 months. This was my first time at this Track Mid Ohio a 15-turn, 2.4 mile (3.86 km) road circuit run clockwise. The back portion of the track allows speeds approaching 180 mph. (Indy) I must say for a 8 year old car Toyota builds them right. Cant say enough good things about RR Racing tune and customer support. I think next year Ill upgrade to a Penske setup and some race tires. Enjoy.

Man!!! I love mid-ohio. It was my home track when I lived in Cincy. I have been their so many times, infact my first race school was the mid Ohio one. Tell me you loved the chicane into the keyhole! Also how did the F handle madness, one mistake on that off-camber blind hill and your gonna be getting squirrely. Maybe one day I can bring the F there. I saw stoptechs in you picture, you really ran stoptechs on that track? you a brave man, sir . I'm not knocking you either , I have run stoptechs on track with the F and if your skilled enough you can generally "work with" any pad. I always killed non race pads going the back straight into the downhill braking section.

Yeah, that's a ok time. In my G35 with a instructor riding shotgun, I hit 1:50 on the session I was able to pull form the video archives, just now. Keep in mind it's kind of hard to compare given the different kinds of cars (my G35 was around 220-230 at the wheels and a 3450 curb weight) I sure as ***** wasn't hitting close to 180 on the back straight (tops 140), that's movin' dude! All in all I would say a good run especially since you haven't driven the track before. I watched you videos and it looked pretty smooth, I definitely think you could use more track out, the F is such a boat that it needs as much track as it can get, but then again you don't want to push your luck on a new track.

That's awesome! I've never done racing on a track like that.
I've only done drag racing at the track. But road racing seems like a lot of fun. Definitely on my to-do list hopefully this next upcoming summer.

It's a blast! The excitement lasts for 20+ minutes at a time instead of 12 seconds.. Plus, that's really what the IS-F was made for.

Also, great videos Larry!

Gearbangin I see at least 3-4 seconds of lap time there.

Your car seems to have a lot of under steer in that 1.49 clip and it looked like a few of those corners you struggled to get the car stopped and getting the nose to the clipping point.

I know a lot don't do it on here but would you consider taking another set of wheels with a full race slick this will add a lot more grip and your lap times will improve 10 fold.

Default Still Have Original Video?!

Hey! That's my Miata in first video... LOL. Perhaps one of my favorite sessions of all time! We were very back n forth, cat n mouse that session... it was fun! I would LOVE to get a copy of laps leading up to that fateful Thunder Valley moment...

Looks a bit hard eg.not much runoff room, plenty of concentration. What make car spun in front of you.
