Here's the numbers by year chart for ISF's. Definitely rare birds! Just in comparison, here are the number figures of Honda civics and Camry's sold in the US by year.....shows just how few ISFs were made!!

But as mentioned above, the 2 different characters the car can have is awesome! Can blow the doors off just about anything on the road, then can drive as smooth and sophisticated as can be and get 28+ mpgs!! 8 speed transmission was the first ever in 08 as well!
Also wasn't the IS300 lexus' first attempt in the performance sector?! Decent performance car... still love mine....but the F is on a totally different level!

Yeah I think I remember seeing that exact post a while back on CL. Definitely a rare car by comparison to many others. And holy cow, 400,000+ camrys a year!? I'm surprised Toyota doesn't use all that money to make some more sports car lol.

I'm blessed enough to have parents who instilled great mannerisms in me as well as teaching me the necessity of being humble in life. It just so happened that my graduation year lined up with this particular model, and I am still humbled to this day of the ownership experience, great relationships both business and personal that have born from owning this ride, and ability to sculpt it to my own liking with the specific mods I have installed on my IS F.

No car is really an investment, and I viewed purchasing my F as a way to invest in myself by pushing myself harder. Working multiple jobs, having the desire to save every last bit, and learning more about budgeting beyond just the car itself were items I carry daily and pass onto friends and family who come to me for advice when it comes time for a purchase.

Simply put- I sought after her. I lusted after her. I sacrificed for her. I earned the right to have her in my garage. And above all else, I did it on my terms.
I love this post! I feel like after focusing on paying off my car in full a lot sooner than I'm supposed to (and going almost broke in the process) and the reward of being able to get my F and proving to myself that I can get the things I really want in life as long as I try hard. Will definitely make me appreciate my future ISF even more.

Awesome! The fact that you beat on your car a lot and has never given you issues just goes to show how well built these cars are. And youve definitely helped made me feel more at ease on buying a slightly higher mileage ISF. Although I'd still try and get a lower mileage one.

Trust me....the car didn't make me go broke. A gf/wife who says you can get whatever mod you want....as long as she gets something of equal or greater value as well. Needless to say, I needed to do plenty of hiding of parts at my place. But the moment you get that pink slip....that is nirvana for sure!

I love the fact that this was Lexus first V8 performance car. That and the fact that Lexus will not make anymore V8's in the IS body and stop V8 productions after RCF/GSF will make these cars even more rare. I just took my car to smog this past weekend and the technician told me, 'wow! that's a huge engine in there!' He did not even know that the ISF was a V8, adding to the sleeper and only the select few know about these cars club. I was waiting for an RCF but a gem of an SPF made itself present and I quickly gave my 3IS350 F-Sport to my wife, no regrets!

A number of things make this car special to me, but really what I love most is that the engineers took the classic American formula to create a muscle car and created this thing that out-muscled the American cars when it launched.

What I love about my F is that is rare most people think is a regular is250 or 350 until they hear the v8, it has the reliability of a Toyota witch was a big part in my decision to buy since I bought it with out warranty and I will be keeping it for a good while

This right here is how I feel as well. I've wanted this car ever since it was announced way back. It was a car that I always considered out of my reach. But keeping my nose to the grindstone and using what was taught to me I was able to reach a point financially where I was able to get one finally in March. I am still in awe when I open the garage door that this beast belongs to me. The fact that it's unique and not a very common car is just icing on the cake.

Actually it was the LS 460 that had the first eight speed transmission. It was an 07 model year

The truth is though, it's not the car, it's whether you got game or not. I know a bunch of dudes with so-so cars that got cute girls and others with nice rides that don't. Same with how looks work on guys. I know ugly dudes that get girls all the time and decent ones that don't. The car may help sure, but it won't do all the talking haha.
