How many speeding tickets have you gotten since you got your ISF?

I've got an Escort Passport 8500 hard wired with a mute button right next to my throttle controller. Handy as I seem to have to hit it a lot when it's on...
Saved me once. Two tickets in the F since May 1st 2014, traffic schooled them both. Waze didn't do anything for me, but I'm not opposed to trying again.
While I don't have any experience with the best of the best radars, I don't trust radars beyond, say, 20% confidence.
Take my last ticket for example. I was whipping around a curve to get some of the rust off my rotors after a wash and saw the incoming cop on the opposite side. I'm certain I saw him first and hit the brakes in time. That and there was a train overpass in his way - seemed impossible for him to laser me let alone SEE me until I was slowing down. He U'd, pulled me over 5 minutes later, claimed I was doing 72 (in a 40) and was pissed, threatening arrest. While his threat irritated me more than it did frighten me, I had a choice. Either request to see his radar, or be agreeable & "yes officer - understood officer" him so he'd whittle it down to a lesser charge. I hedged my bets on the latter because I knew I was moving into the area soon & didn't want to infuriate the dork. I didn't want to make an enemy or risk having my F towed. I wanted badly to see his claimed 72 (which was BS), but figured, again, it'd kill any hopes for a negotiation. I got him into a conversation & he whittled it down to 20 over. He then said "I'm a car guy, what's this, a turbo 2.8? Sounds good." 250 bucks & a LONG online traffic school later, my record is clean.
Radar serves zero purpose in this particular situation. I feel if the cop says you're going fast, they'll find a way to get you. In Cook County, the days of "if the cop doesn't show up in court it'll get thrown out" are over - they don't even need to show up. That being said, the decision I made above never sat completely right with me.

Putting your foot on the brake when you see a cop with a laser gun, is like trying to chase your own shadow. Laser works at the speed of light, it's over before it starts. Only way to beat it is with active countermeasures.

If the first 2 aren't being used in your area or State, you can disable them and the detector will be very quiet.
If you run K-band, there are many options to make it quiet even though it's active.

I got 1. 80ish in a 35. The most expensive ticket I ever gotten! Surprisingly, I took it to a ticket clinic and it was dropped. The other 2 tickets were in my IS350. Aside, from the 1 ticket in the F. I been pulled over twice. 1. I was heading to work and passed an unmarked car at over triple digit speeds. He radioed his buddy up ahead in a marked car that I spotted and slowed down. He got behind behind me, followed me a bit and pulled me over. The officer then asked if I been racing all night? I replied, no. I'm heading to work. That's when he told me about the unmarked SUV and his buddy giving him a heads up. He then asked, are you the owner and have proof of insurance for this thing? while starring down the car and trying to figure out what it was...lol. I said yes, here you go. He went to his car came back, gave me back my documents and said everything looked good. He glanced at my work badge and asked about it. I showed it to him and he was shocked we worked in the same airport. He gave me that damn it! Kind of remark and said he really didn't want to cite me but he was sure I was going to see him again. He released me and said get outta of here. 2. I was literally pulled over right in the corner of my house with my daughter in the back seat. I have 5% tint all around so I knew what was up. Sure enough I was right, he let me go with a warning and complimented the car.

Over the years, I've had a ton of them, but luckily, I've never had my license suspended. In three years with the F, not a one, Kind of odd considering the way I drive.
1. Where I live, if you are pulled over, you will get a ticket. So it is yes sir, no sir and thank you sir. Say nothing, because what ever you say will go into his or her notes.
2. Plead "not Guilty". You never know what will happen from the ticket date to the court date. Both times I was cited by motor cycles, they were eventually injured, one seriously. You'd be amazed how often they don't show up for trial.
3. On the day of the trial be friendly with the cop. After all it's just a game (Where I live it is OK to negotiate with the cop prior to trial.) The judge is ALWAYS "your honor". He is only "judge" if you play golf with him.
4. Check to see if when you are found "guilty" you can "serve notice of appeal". Did this three times and boy does it make them mad, but each time it worked. (One time my retrial in appeals court was sandwiched between a bank robbery and some other really violent crime. The judge took one look at me in my very nice suit and said, "Get this a-hole out of here, case dismissed")
5. If it is a women cop, they are usually "man haters", so be prepared for World War III.
Once you get the hang of it, standing up for your rights is kind of fun.
