350 to F... Model year diffs?
Been on the forums for several years now and am finally seriously considering upgrading my 350 to an F. Before I go pull the trigger though I wanted to hear any feedback from F owners on any significant differences between the F model years. I'm finding several 08 Fs for around $25k with ~70k miles. I'm curious though if it is worth getting a newer F for any reason.
I will definitely miss the cooled seats option here in Phx!

FYI, as somebody in AZ who also spent awhile searching for (and recently purchasing) an F, I can tell you that the 25k for an 08 thing sounds great, but you're going to have a tough time finding a nice one in that range. I think the ones down there are going to have a few things that are less than ideal, or at least that was the case with the ones I ran across.
These cars do seem to be going for a bit over what KBB says they're worth, which is a good thing for owners obviously.

Ok if you plan on keep it pretty much stock I would say 2011 on up to get the suspension updates, real diff, better steering, dash, wider rims on later F's. If your going to really mode then 08 to10 use the money you save for modes.

I'm in AZ too. Just bought my 2011 about 2 weeks ago. I had CarMax transfer another 2011 to the west side dealer, this one is still available and on their website. They also have a 2008 (09?) that I test drove. It was pretty straight and drove well, but as mjc1055 mentioned, they are going for KBB or +. There is one more 2011 on auto trader, crazy asking price like $44k, but I have texted the guy for some time now and he will go down to $37ish, super low miles on this one.
In any case, glad to see another AZ F member, I see several people on here. Good luck with the search and let me know if I can be of any more help.

What do you mean about "wider rims on later F's"?

2008 - first year
2009 - second year
2010 - added Torsen LSD, new wheel design.
2011 - revised suspension, interior refresh, new gauge cluster, something about LED lights, NAV colors updated.....(LOL, I don't really follow the cosmetic mods)
2012 - revised suspension again, new wheel design
2013 - revised suspension again
2014 - 'F' logo on the headrests, carbon fiber rear deck lid
Engine, transmission remained the same throughout all 6 years of production, no changes.
This is the bulk of it, I'm sure there are a few other changes here and there.
Factory options were parking sensors, radar guided cruise control and headlight washers, everything else comes standard.
Very few cars had a sunroof delete factory option, but they are extremely rare. (I think that was a special order)

2009 also had a blank center console versus the 2008 which had the same grayish center console look my 06 IS350 has...
Also agreed on the search function. This has been discussed a few times now I believe. Good luck on your search OP! I'm leaving my 350 for an F in the near future as well!!
