Default New exhaust in development

I saw this on the facebook posting for rr racing. On top of the supercharger update there is a mention o a 3 inch exhaust in the works for the isf. There is also a comment on possibly seeing of there are gains of such a exhaust on a na car . Would this be the first 3inch offering for the isf? I think borla, joez and the xforce are all 2.5 right?

Yo! I'm glad I held off on my headers and exhaust!

You're right. All current exhaust offerings on the ISF are only 2.5'' piping. I'm sure there will be advantages/gains going up to a full 3'' piping setup. I mean, there are guys in the Honda world, (i.e. the K20a2) running 3'' exhaust setups with considerable gains.

Yeah with that said, I would say a 3" for the F would yield better HP gains. Not sure about TQ.

Thanks for the link liquidtek

I suspect the 3" pipes would only yield a significant increase in a forced induction setup - I think headers and 2.5" exhaust in an otherwise stock motor is probably enough.
