Well, I pulled the trigger on 08.13.2020 and we shall see what the next step is, wish me luck. I really would like to be a seamless process of both install and functionality. I really do hope it comes with the latest firmware\os updates to where I don't have to mess with that.

Well, It did indeed all went well, I suppose
1. Read Instructions - Done
2. Disconnected "Negative" connection from car battery - Done
2.a. So that AirBag down' get alarmed
3. Removed the radio console - Done (Gosh Super Easy -
)
3.a. The A\C vent clips stay down once you make them click (Ha obviously you get to see once you remove it)
4. "Fish" the cables through the Glove Box A\C filter opening
4.a. I went the extra mile to "Fish" the GPS cable through the side of my door and side of indoor raail panel then to end end right next to Lexus GPS next to the rear view mirror
4.b. Easy
5. Connected all cables appropriately
6. I thought of testing before I put the console and radio but I said "Its gonna work" after I put everything8. back together
7. I put everything back together (console, radio, A\C vents, etc)
8. I reconnected car battery
9. I paused before pressing Lexus engine "Start Button" (Note: car does not turn on due to the fact that I do "not" have the brake peddle pressed)
9.a. I pushed the "Start Button" once
9.b. I pushed the "Start Button" again and car went into ACC mode (you get to see Lexus dash board elements come on)
10. I waited 5 seconds and was about to shut down the ACC mode by pushing the Start Button but I saw Grom was updating something and asking me to make sure I did't intruurpt that process
10. I waited a few more seconds, then Grom OS finished loading
11. I pushed Lexus "Start Button" to shutdown ACC mode
12. I waited 1 minute (per Grom instructions eh maybe 2min as I rant to the bathroom)
13. I pushed Lexus "Start Button" to go into ACC mode
14. Grom device booted
15. Disabled "Lexus" auto screen per Grom instructions
16. Paired Grom + iPhone BlueTooth
17. Walla CarPlay works as advertised (Went to go get me some DQ Banian Split + Pecans Blizzard)
18. eh have yet to muck around with other settings
Pro:
19. It worked right out of the box yeah
20. Plush many more
Con:
21. Gotta wait to cut Lexus plastic shelving in glove box to allow for Grom device to fit properly where "I" want it at

Page 10 of Install Manual:IMPORTANT STEPS TO PERFORM AFTER INSTALLATION! Turning OFF Auto Screen Change in Factory Settings
In order for VLINE mode to function properly the “Auto Screen Change” option in the Lexus Infotainment system needs to be “OFF”.
If this function is not turned off, while using VLine the image will switch auto- matically to factory GUI screens on its own after 10-15 seconds has passed.
To turn this function OFF:
1. Press MENU button > then go into SETUP > select GENERAL
2. Scroll down until you see option line AUTO SCREEN CHANGE.
3. Select OFF for AUTO SCREEN CHANGE. Make sure to hit SAVE for LEX7 vehicles.
