I was going to get a Grom Vline for my LS460 in the UK but after reading this it seems that the product is absolutely awful....and not even close to being finished.
I'm looking for a reliable addition to my LS460....the search goes on !

Yup, im bricked as well. Cannot get passed the vline screen. It was working 3 days ago, until i opened up gmusic and there was no home button. So i reached my destination turned off my car.....and well vline hasnt worked since then.

We are investigating issues with Lexus 2010-2012 V13 update and reverted OTA back to V12 for now. Please do not update VBase firmware until we find the root cause for those vehicles.
All other firmwares are safe to update. We had some people complain about audio quality issues, looks like some cars are affected. Will be fixed by end of the week.

The file to Firmware V12 is here, just make sure you pick the right year of your car under the drop down box. Then all you do is put it on a blank USB Fat32 flash drive and plug it in the USB2 port and power the system up. Wait for the drive lights to flash a few times and you should be done. If that don't work I would contact GROM
I reverted back to V12 and and I am working again

I have a 08 ls460 and it is doing the same as others have mentioned. After the update 2 days ago sometimes the unit would not power on at all. I have to shut down the engine restart for it to power on. Sometimes having to restart the car multiple times. And i too have also noticed that the sound quality degraded. I used the ota update directly on the unit for both software and firmware. Tomorrow I will downgrade back to the firmware before this update and pray it works.

We were able to replicate and fix the issue with startup recognition. The update will go live along with audio fixes on Friday after we test everything on all configurations.
In the mean time do the following to make sure the unit is always detected:
1. Turn the vehicle on
2. Wait for 10-15 seconds
3. Start the engine

The car's system would not recognized the vline at all. When I start the car and if it's not already on cd(vline) mode than I just hit cd and it's switches over to vline. But at times I jump in hit that cd button it just goes to cd and won't load up vline. I would have to restart the car, sometimes numerous times for it to load up vline.
