I've been waiting to upgrade my phone until I heard this news!!

I haven't updated in a while and will be upset if I have to back through the ignition sequence, is that fixed as well???

Thank you Grom team for being all over this one on the schedule you said, but I agree, once I got my unit stable I have been hesitant to upgrade.

Once I get confirmation we're good, I will be getting a new phone STAT.

The update did not fix any of the problems I was having. Poor audio quality and vline not booting up/ recognized. I I went back to firmware 28 pro fix those issues

Hey GROM, please enable USB cellular modems from USB port 2 in the vline. Would be great to have always on internet with Verizon LTE.

The upgrade is working great for me, though with limited testing. I loaded the latest OTA update and firmware on one of my VLine (LEX5) units. My phone is an iPhone 6S on latest (iOS 11.2). After upgrade I switched off Bluetooth on the VLine side and Apple CarPlay connects with sound again! I tested music and map guidance ... even made a phone calll through CarPlay with success. I had avoided using the phone app up until now because of call quality, but it seems fine now. I plan to upgrade my wife’s VLine unit today.

If you’re an Apple phone user and an improved CarPlay experience is your goal, then in my opinion you should upgrade. I didn’t test anything other than CarPlay, because honestly CarPlay is all that I use. Thanks GROM! Job well done.

Can confirm, calls now sound good enough to use the phone function through CarPlay, before I would just use factory Bluetooth or speaker phone due to the echo through the Vline. Yesterday, my wife could not tell the difference between speakerphone/bluetooth/vline calls.

Keep up the good work Grom, I appreciate the constant support and hard work, the Vline has been my saving grace during my daily commute.
