GOOGLE MAPS, Please first and foremost. Pandora is second for me personally. But others will likely request Waze and Spotify. Is there any functionality with something like Google Assistant for a voice command option?

Speed seems improved...does opening apps without using them really shows the impact of more ram? Also 25 seconds to boot when you think of upgrading to Android 8 for improve booting time here's a link development tools :

We had no plans on 8.0 so far. Only 7.1 for now.
The bare loading takes around 12-15s, the rest is GApps or apps in general. The more apps you install, the longer it loads. Nothing we can do here. We will add intelligent sleep mode to address the issue to some extent.

CarPlay has no change. It solely depends on your phone's speed.

7.1 has not affected CarPlay. Most likely the first shipments will go out with 5.1 to lower the risk. We will roll out 7.1 around mid June after more testing is completed. AirPlay video will be posted shortly.
