Default Pics of my spark plugs after 59.2k

Just performed an oil change and changed the spark plugs after 59.2k miles. Just FYI here are how they look. Let me know what you think. They don't look bad:

The threads and the tip of #3 appear to be wet. Looks like it's time for a new valve cover gasket. And yes, looks a little lean

They look fine how does the car run, the air fuel ratio is looked after by the computer don't worry as long as you don't have any codes. ps how long did the plug change take you.

The car runs fine. Nothing to compare it to since I've only had it for less than 1000 miles. No codes.

i didn't perform the service. Lexus of Thousand Oaks did the job for $230 (labor only). I bought the Denso plugs at Amazon for $10 each. They charged me for 2.5 hours

Wonder why I'm running a little lean...I have no mods. I don't hear any exhaust leaks.

The only way that I know of to determine if plugs are lean or rich is to run the car at wide open throttle, stop it and pull the plugs. I'd guess that the oxygen sensors and cpu are way better at reading the mixture than we are.

Car may be reading lean from excessive idling. I think the plugs look great and look just about like the plugs I pull out of any Lexus V8.

By the way those plugs have a lot of miles left on them. The only reason I replace plugs in the 60 to 70 K range is because I've seen plugs become almost impossible to remove at 100 K miles. Even though almost no one agrees on this board, I always use a "tiny" amount of never seize on the treads. I suspect the bad rap on never seize comes from over use. A "tiny" bit is all you need.

That's what I remember as well, I used to pick up ngk coppers and run them on one pull, then pull them and "read" them. Once they're in for a few cycles you can't really tell. Either way, widebands are so cheap now that really if you're that curious just pick up a wideband instead.
