Nice numbers! Good to see guys doing some data logging which supports the blending benefits!

I'll also post up a chart with the timing logs, but I don't have static to go against. I started logging timing a couple months ago.

Here is the timing chart along with the AFR. The AFR is hard to read sorry about that, I had to put this together really quick.

On my second tank with e85 blend,The first time the throttle was so sensitive and just eager to go especially at low rpm's! I could only compare it to when I first installed my apexi, with apexi on purple mode and e85 good to see the data logging now I know it's just not me lol

Good read folks! I was wondering why someone hasn't mentioned just going to Home Depot and dumping in a gallon of (121 Octane) Toluene for $8 like I used to do in the late 1980's. Then I discovered it's not sold much anymore because of idiots inhaling it and it's brother Xylene (118 Octane) is $18/gallon! I'll go with the E85 plan...

I just read through all of this thread, interesting info, I am still a little concerned of the corrosion associated with E85, I ruined a race carb on my Mustang with similar gas after forgetting to drain the fuel bowls after going to the track. Does anyone here have loaded dyno numbers or times at the drag strip using a 3-4 gallon blend of E85 ?

I plan on doing both in the near future. I haven't had time to hit the track after using but plan on it next month.

Good to see all these positive posts about e85 blends in the ISF. Question though, do you guys think the Is350 would have any benefit off of this too??

Interesting.

Im curious about this since E85 is local to me. My ISF is stock with a K&N drop in filter. Are you all seeing a difference on stock cars or cars with bolt ons and a tune?

No need for a retune - I used it with stock tune and exhaust as well as with RR tune, gutted cats and exhaust - improvement was pretty apparent in both cases.

I use E85 blend about once every 3-4 fill ups - no issues.

Anyone who has experience in this, please chime in. I know for a fact in CA, the gas we get contains around 10% ethanol. I would love to settle this question once and for all.
30% is a lot. Checked with owner's manual?

Been blending since July 2016 and everyone I mentioned in post #2 of this thread is still blending with great results! I have not missed one fill up without E85 in about 20 months and the car purrs

My blend ranges between E30 & E35ish....never any issues

I too have been blending since 2016. RR's tune runs best with 93 or higher octane and can only get 91 here in Tucson. I run about 30% mixture and have not had a single issue. I recently asked Rafi if he had had any luck with his E85 test tune and unfortunately he was not able to make any additional gains using e85 vs premium.

Default E85 in ISF/IS350

Yes, the IS350 has a similar engine to the ISF, just with 2 less cylinders. Same compression ratio and Direct/port injection, should see the same results as us ISF guys, especially in California with your terrible gasoline...

I've been running ethanol blends for over 1 year now, the last 6 months has been on E70. Here in CO, Kum & Go has very consistently E70 year round...
It's $1.80-1.90 per gallon vs close to $3 for premium, with about 30% less gas mileage. Ran milehiFcar (exact mods as me) on E30 and was dead even with me on E70, however my E70 tune had 2 degrees less timing. I think there might be some room for improvement. I've been running E70 on the E30 tune (which has more advanced timing than the E70 tune I had) now, need to do some more testing with milehiF again to see if there is an improvement. E70 is about the limit that the ECU will compensate for with fuel trims without giving a check engine light.

I've also been running E70 on my Ford F150 3.5L ecoboost (direct injection, twin turbo) for over 25,000 miles with no detriment except some hesitation when boosting on a very cold engine, and rough cold starts.

Only issues on the F are a little bit of a rough start/longer cranking on cold start-up.

My 2cents
