I've been blending over 5 yrs, but I have AutoMeter Pro AF Wideband gauge and Zeitronix ethanol content analyzer gauge This ensures I stay safe within proper AF ratio range I also monitor ethanol content. When it comes to gas station know two location are same. I go to same location and ethanol content changes from seasons to seasons even from week to week some times. I also change my synthetic oil a bit earlier at 3000 intervals versus 5000 miles. Since I'm retired now so is my IS-F LOL, It took 2 yrs for me to hit 3000 mile. I changed oil regardless once yr anyway even though I had not hit 3000 mile mark. My advice if your going to blend you need to monitor your AF Ratios and ethanol content in your fuel to stay safe. It's smal Investment for keeping things safe and take guess work out of blending.

30% of ethanol won't harm it

i have to say after much thought i too started blending as well(4 gals). High altitude and 91 out here in Vegas my KCLV were very low just like everyone else said they would be. Been mixing the last 3 tanks of gas and i went from a 13-14 KCLV to a consistent 19-20. Not as high as you sea level guys but definitely far better for a FBO ISF

Your definitely compensating for the loss of oxygen at altitude with the added oxygen in the ethanol and higher octane, your car thanked you! Ethanol FTW🏁

For some reason my FBO ISF didn’t like the blend so I stopped. Maybe I got crappy gas at Murphy's here in Vegas. Now I put a bottle of Lucas octane booster and my car loves it. Went from 14kclv to 22-24 kclv. It’s been at least 1000 miles since I started using Lucas and no problems, constant low to mid 20’s.

I'm usually blending E28 to E40 content. I'm in California so I blend 91oct and E85 together. My car is FBO with Loi tune. Both my KCLV are 25*.

Just tap into a fuel line and bring the wiring to the gauge in the cabin.

So how did you guys actually obtain the tune, am I to contact RR to get started with the process? Could anyone provide some guidance? Any need for supporting mods? Would the tune be taking in consideration any other mods or purely fuel?

thanks all

I have the RR tune, and I feel like its more of an "off the shelf" kind of tune. You can contact RR directly and ask them any questions you may have. If you decide to go with them, they'll send you a Handheld OBD Programmer that you'll plug into your OBD port, follow the instructions, email them the stock map file that you pulled from your car, they'll email you a "tuned" map that you'll have to transfer to your car using the OBD Programmer. I honestly didnt notice a difference with the butt dyno until I started blending e85. Car really started to perform better when i was pumping in 2-3 gallons mixed with crap 91 octane we have here in CA.

If you're still unsure about what you want to do, have your questions ready and send an email to RR and to LOI and decide from there.
