Based on the energy content of E85 vs E10, it is likely that fuel mileage could be adversely affected by as much as 25% using E85. Diesel on the other hand has about 3% to 13% more energy content than E0/E10. Compressed natural gas is the same energy content as gasoline (E0/E10). http://www.afdc.energy.gov/fuels/fue...ison_chart.pdf

^^^^^That's correct..... if your using 100% E85, but at this blend level we've seen an increase in gas mileage because the mixture is leaned out a bit, definitely not worse gas mileage which was a pleasant surprise

Thumbs up

Ive been mixing e85 for the past month now data logging. With 2 gallons of e85, Im getting my KCLV up from 13-14 with FBO+tuned intake to 19-20. Works better better than royal purple octane booster.

Same here, This has my attention too, someone above mentioned being stock and doing it while they lived in Florida. I could be wrong but that's what I understood.

You don't need to reset your ECU, it should learn pretty quick. Do some high load 8th gear pulls for below 3k and above 3k for your KCLV lo & hi numbers.

If your empty you can put in 4.5 gallons based on 14.5 gallons total on the fill up based on being around 0 miles to empty on the readout.

Let us know how it does!
