Anyways, congrats on the purchase!!!! 50k is a smoking deal, 3LT means pretty well loaded, right???
Yes, 3LT is loaded. I was looking at a brand new 2016 1LT for 46k, but I decided on my 15 Z51 3LT which is about 15k worth of addons.

When the 14 was announced I was hooked. I think it's one of the best looking cars. Looks like an exotic; even if it looses value and rattles at least it'll look damn good driving down the road. haha

Honestly, not trying to come in here and stir anything up. I loved my ISF for the 4 years I had it. Just time for something new.

Nothing wrong with moving on, just did it myself! I think what the other gentleman was referring to was the multiple long term tests where the corvette had a lot of issues. Everything from a blown motor to numerous rattles and failures....just because there are some kinks to be worked out doesn't mean you can't have a great experience. Corvette never really did it for me but it is a great performance car and I hope you have a blast!

Just curious, you say it was a 2015 model, is this a brand new Vette for 50k???

No, it was used. It has 19k miles on it. Actual purchase price was $49,495.

Sorry to be nosy, I didn't think they were offering that much of a smoking deal on new Corvettes. I know new Z06 cars are pretty heavily discounted though, but IMO that's just an absolutely silly amount of hp to be using on the street, put your foot down for 3 seconds and you're doing go to jail speeds. The base motor at a laughable 460hp is plenty fast enough, especially when you consider the whole thing weighs about 3200lbs.

I don't mind; never been worried about disclosing how much things cost. I was originally going to buy a brand new 2016 1LT for $46,000 in Colorado or Arizona but found mine locally with a much higher trim package and Z51. I was amazed that a brand new Corvette was going for 46k. Lots of Corvette owners aren't too happy that it's hurting the resale values, but I'm sure after the 'tag' event is over they will return to normal.

I don't know if there is such a thing as too much HP. I'm already itching to throw in a supercharger.

Nice man congrats, been contemplating on selling my F and getting one of these for a few months now. Love the new look on the these. Still haven't test drove one though. How does it feel comfort wise vs. the F?

Err, they START at ~3350 and go to 3600. A Z51 with fluids will weigh over 3400.

With the 3LT package it feels A LOT like the Lexus. The interior is really nice and doesn't feel cheap like the C6 did.
The seats are amazing. My only complaint is that it's hard to see out of. Pretty big blind spots, but just position your mirrors correctly and you're good.
The Magnetic ride suspension is completely worth it in my opinion. Go from touring to Track mode and it's a pretty big difference.
Also the NPP (exhaust quiet to loud) is pretty fun. I have always loved the sound of a V8 and the Lexus was a luxury car so you didn't really get that, but the Corvette sounds awesome. Take a test drive if you can.

Thanks for the quick review/comparison!
Quick question, did you have an aftermarket exhaust on your IS-F?! With my Joe z, it sounds MUCH more raw than any stock Corvette I've heard IMO. Stock the IS-F was definitely a quite V8 though.

No, exhaust was stock on the F.
