I contacted KW in Germany about heavier spring rates for the ISF and they told me it's not offered. I agree with everyone about the spring rates way too soft for the heavier vehicle. Sold the KWs and went Penske and couldn't be happier.

Yea that's unfortunate that they would offer these without any consideration for the ISF and the need for higher spring rates because of the weight?

Greddy says the spring rates are "good".

^^ Are you going to try them out? Funny thing is, I just checked on these a few hours ago and Greddy say's the spring rates are good, however, the soft spring rates goes against what most are using for their Fs. In the meantime, I can't stop looking at the Ohlins +swift that Figs is offering.

The question was this to Greddy: "dr.kyle.pike Any reason the ISF didn't get chassis specific spring rates? Most report anything lower than 16K in front to be way too bouncy."

This was their response to the spring rates: "greddyracing. It's not always about just the spring rate numbers, but many other factors. We believe this combination for the ISF is a good one."@dr.kyle.pike

it's just the fact that they sell it for both tie isx50 and ISF. they know the ISx50 crowd is a much better platform to make money from. IS-F is rare. rare = less money for aftermarket companies to make.

Yup, that was the 3rd time I'd asked them about the spring rates and that was the response. Somehow their valving is different that allows for a spring rate just shy of half of what's on the market for the F lol. Thanks for the BS non technical answer guys.

My gut feeling is not to get these particular model. I spoke with a vendor that is selling these (not on club lexus) and they told me that Greddy feels the spring rates (10F/8R) are sufficient and should be good to purchase and tried, at the very least. If i needed/wanted something stiffer, the vendor will gladly sell me swift springs at around the $400-$600 price point....no thanks. If I'm spending over $2k on coils, I might as well get the KWs. but then.... If I'm spending $2600 on KW3s and then top hats, I can spend a little more and get Penskes or Ohlins+Swift from Figs..which I think are SEXY!

Yeah they kind of blew it. They filled a void in the market and for what you get appears to be a solid product. But it's pretty clear they haven't actually tested these on an ISF, otherwise they would know right away what EVERY other company has figured out.

I highly doubt they have magic valving that compensates for such a low spring rate. I appreciate them treating me like a moron. I didn't work in the automotive industry before transitioning to aerospace or anything

It seems like they revised the spring rates to 12kg(F)/9kg(R) from 10/8

KW V3's are 11kg(F) - 8kg(R) iirc. Might give these a go if thats the case.

Its not all about spring rates with thee greddy x kw but the valving of the strut body itself. If you do try it, please post a review.
