The wheel is not the same thickness all around. The pistol grips at 3 and 9 are contoured for your thumb. At 12 it is slightly thicker than stock. The bottom is a lot thicker. RR Racing has it on their web site at a much better price.
Hey Raj, thanks for the plug, we are working hard on completing your SC!
Regarding the steering wheels, we have sold several already with really good feedback, so just started a group buy here in time for the holidays:
thanks figured it was for cooling good to know some weight advantage. I heard he IS300 brackets work with out cars and I also heard there is a resistor trick to fooling the airbag sensors.
Maybe someone can weigh in?
I have the resistors from Japan. The problem is that there are two other things that can trigger the airbag (if you swap out your seats) 1) The seat position sensor 2) the mat on the passenger seat which weighs the occupants.

Let me know details for the resistors and can the bladder be swapped over?
Thanks looking to cut some weight for next season replacing the front seats and rear delete should be close to 100 lbs. I believe the stock seats are 59lbs each and the rear with belts and hardware are over 40 lbs.
If it's a track car, ditch the airbags. They are more likely to hurt you than help you on the track. I believe the same is true on the street, and right now Lexus is telling all of us we should not be driving our cars because they have Takata airbags in them, but the reality is, all that crap is heavy and you can ditch it all. Just cover the SRS light on the dash display and you're golden.

Pulling airbags is pretty hardcore. I'd still like to drive it to the track and not trailer it. If you were going that route pull the speakers, radio and AC system too.
I guess there is a way to do it correctly with resistors.
If it has a cage, airbags are just dead weight. Even if it doesn't, they hurt as much as they help, if they really help a belted driver at all. I don't believe they do, and there are some interesting studies indicating airbags saving the lives of people wearing their seatbelts is less likely than if airbags were not present.
I noticed you have installed GT spec braces, did you notice any difference? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
With regards to the front brace(s), I have the Tanabe version of the front 2-point tie brace and I was unable to distinguish any difference in handling or steering responsiveness.
On the other hand, if you're able to find a GTSpec 4-point brace to connect your LCA brackets to the frame rails, this part does make a noticeable difference with improving steering response and feedback to the driver (along with other mods like aftermarket front LCA bushings and a 11+ IS-F Steering ECU).
