Feedback 2010 ISF W/140K miles I found, looking to purchase
I am looking to purchase the following 2010 ISF w/140k miles roughly $25k:
http://www.furrstclasscars.com/2010_...NC_5014883.veh
Mileage is quite high but the maintenance records are very detailed with only Lexus service. I also spoke with the prior owner who traded the vehicle in and no issues on his end. Water pump has not yet been replaced, no leaks and I'm curious to the screen issues on the 2010 as I read often about the 2008 failing?
Any feedback or opinions would be greatly appreciated as I'd plan on keeping the car for 2 years at most as I've previously owned EU sport sedans (550, M3, e550), just looking for something cheap, fun and reliable for the next two years.

That's a lot of miles for that price even with the most meticulous by the book and to the letter maintenance records. Not that I wouldn't recommend the IS F, but there are so many other options that are "cheap" fun and realible, and brand new, in that price range. Happy shopping!

My only concern with this car would be coolant leaks, they are relatively common - valley plate and water pump. If the possibility of a semi-expensive repair doesn't bother you then go for it, looks clean.

I have no doubt the ISF will fit your needs. I had my ISF for 2 years and has now reached the 100k mark. I have never had any issues with the water pump, valley plate, or the touch screen navigation. A member here by the name of Drok149 has around the same miles as the one your looking at. He currently holds the record for the fastest bolt on ISF on street tires

Did you see this? this is a great price for 75k miles. You can always add an lsd.
Also when you find one lmk as we are getting a Charlotte meet together. Just been hectic with cold and holidays.

Thanks for the feedback, they've come down to 22.5k on the vehicle which is becoming more tempting. I'd prefer a 2010 with the LSD and NAV update personally but possibly pursuing a 2008 with less miles and similar $ is optimal?

20k miles, clean carfax, and a $31k starting price. I'd much rather find a low mileage car and add the headlights and LSD than deal with a 140k car. Located in raleigh NC. http://www.rduautosales.com/2008-Lex...6/Details.aspx
Edited second link in case first doesn't work.

Thank you, I looked at that vehicle as well and the mileage is really low. I'm paying cash for this purchase so low 20's is where I'd like to be and it's a second car for me - once I hit the low 30's it really starts to open up the door of other vehicles I'd start to consider and possibly return to my more irresponsible pre-family purchases such as an M3 or E63.

If low 20's are where you would like to be then a higher mileage F is probably what's going to be floating around out there at that price point. Honestly I wouldn't be scared of higher mileage in these cars unless the previous owner was running a 150 shot of nitrous for 70k miles or something.
The mods available for the ISF for the past 8 years was limited to intake tube/headers/exhaust and that's it! Besides Nitrous nothing was stressing this motor at all, and wasn't until early 2016 that the car became tunable (tune/S/C etc....).
So in short if the car has the proper maintenance records I wouldn't worry one bit about owning a higher mileage ISF considering it's also only going to be a second car for you.

Also, I'd rather own a 100k + mile F than a 20k mile Beemer or Benz....
I'll be glad to check out the F in Raleigh for you...right down the street from me. Just lmk.

Myself and CL member 2URGSE went to look at the Raleigh, NC 08 IS-F with 20k miles on it...it's in immaculate shape both inside and out!!! The cleanest 08' F I've EVER seen! Obviously a very well taken cared of car. I believe it's well worth the
$30k asking price. We are going back to test drive it and check the brakes/etc out in the am. Will report back!
