Aw... I thought you were on muffler deletes. Doesn't matter, the silencers have arrived.. I'll try them on myself and report back then.

Check this thread for details of a couple of folks doing exactly this:

Ive put mine on, the drone is definitely gone but you can still hear the "kup kup kup" during idle, so it's a nice middle ground to my ears. However, when you floor it, there's a horrible "hiss" sound, i wonder if it's just not properly installed? other than that, there's a significant lag in throttle response?!, the torque down low feels like it's gone and feels like a smaller capacity engine..

am i doing something wrong?? btw, what's the actual outlet size on the others? mine was like 1 inch..

GLORIOUS!!

Im on the right path then. i was told that wrapping the headers help with drone, which made no sense to me tbh and i even spent some time trying to find anything on said claims. but sound deadening sounded like a better option. guess ive got something more to do. lol

Sound defending will not address exhaust droning, just reduces the overall loudness. You need side branch resonator(s) to address drone. Plenty of info online.

I can vouch for this. Although I have an IS350, I found information on the side branch resonators on the ISF forum.

I had a custom exhaust created, sounded super nice accelerating and full throttle, cruising gave me a huge headache with massive drone. Tried resonators, drone was reduced to about 80% which was still overwhelmingly annoying, actual exhaust became significantly quieter outside the car. Which I was not happy about. Then I took the resonators off, put side branch resonators, drone went down to about 20% of the original setup, but upon wide open throttle, it was about 85-90% of the original loudness but stays relatively quiet on cruising both inside and outside.

sorry, i should have clarified, mainly in cabin. been reading on side brank resonators and considering it as well. Im torn between Joe Z quad tip or Xforce non Varex . either one is getting GESI cats welded on.. so a toss up of either 800.00 or 1700...lol

May just install headers/gesi/ and exhaust and see how it performs... if the drone is tolerable ill leave it as is. but living in L.A. i feel its a gamble.

Just to update, I have not taken these silencers out since I installed them several years ago.
And my Wife and I just completed a 5,000km road trip in the ISF last week.. so that goes to show how wife-friendly the exhaust is now.
