How long did you keep your 3IS before you picked up your IS F?

Hmm, about 4-5 months. I liked the car, but I'm happier with the ISF.

That said there are very cool interior portions to the ISF, then there are some that look like Camrys. The silver carbon fiber look paired with dead grey (08 here) radio / climate controls - It's a confused interior. I'm cool with it though because the car is a dragon. The new IS body style is very effeminate to me. No interest.

no offense, the 08 interior was ugly due to that console you speak up. 09+ had the nice black finish. very durable, could not scratch or swirl. My interior looked good, i remember people complimenting it every time sitting in it.

Now I haven't driven an 3IS but many of my friends have 2IS250 and 2IS350 and it's night and day difference comparing it to the F, especially the lightning quick transmission on the F.
A few months before I got my 3IS F Sport, I drove a 2010 IS F and it was down right unbelievable but my wife nixed the deal. So I compromised and leased a '15 3IS F Sport. Although it's not fast, it does handle well but I'm still yearning for that V8 sound of the IS F. Maybe I'll plan for Christmas to do the switch.

That's a 2011+ interior.

Incorrect, don't let the console and gauges fool you!
Different texalium trim color (yellowish w/black trim on MY11+) and most importantly, the Sport button has not been relocated to the steering wheel.
Certainly not a MY11

Nice catch with the steering wheel. I didn't know they changed texalium finish either.

this is normal comments i get when people use to sit in the car. they thought it was the newest model out. key to a nice interior is keeping it clean. no leather conditioners or any of that crap. all you have to do is wipe your leather and panels with warm water to take out the oils that kills the leather. it was immaculate.

Besides that, good leather doesn't come from cows, it comes from steers as does almost all the beef people eat. Cows are for breeding and milking, not for eating or leather. I grew up on my grandfather's farm in Mt. Vernon Iowa and learned a bit about cattle.

Anyone else here been shoulder deep in a cow putting a chain around a calf's front feet?

Haha! I spent 5 years as an Animal Science/Animal Industry major in undergrad in college... Everything you can think of with ever farm animal, every lab animal, and every house pet, I've been there and done that!!! "Shoulder deep" isn't exaggeration by any means, lol. Most people here have no clue what we're talking about....Lol, but "fun" days to say the least, lol.
