Default LC 500 One Take video......

Quick breakdown:

$92,000 base price
$104,000 as tested
-470 HP
-400 lb Tq@ 4800 rpm
-10 speed auto (Aisin)
-4075 lb curb weight
-Optional rear steering
- and some more options with the performance package

All in all very nice coupe, although it's heavy and 6 digit expensive (100k+)! It's too bad that Lexus didn't opt to make a lighter chassis/platform when developing this car can you imagine if it came in at 3,500 lb's (oh well)!!

That being said I don't think it'll be that much quicker than a stock ISF/GSF/RCF(the 10 speed auto will offset the weight penalty to a degree though)........and especially not a FBO ISF because of the weight unfortunately.

Here's to hoping for the LCF and what that brings (based on the price of the LC500 the LCF would be 120k+)???

am i seeing this right? the isf can still keep up with the lc500. must be because the lc is heavy. damn when they come out with an lcf wonder how heavy it'll be and how much horsepower it'll have and the cost.

Is it confirmed they will be making a F version? I can't see them doing so already using the 5 liter. It'd be great to see two turbos strapped to it. I don't think Lexus would try and compete with the S65, M6 as Matt says.

^^^^^Yea, the motor is just an evolution of our motor, doesn't sound that much more than what is offered with the blue top in the GSF/RCF. That's why I said an ISF with H/E/I/T (FBO) should be quicker than a LC 500 because of the weight penalty. Who knows maybe I'm wrong and when someone buys one of these beauties and can have a head to head with an FBO ISF we shall find out how much the 10 speed auto helps out with acceleration?

Nonetheless beautiful car!

Don't know yet? But the only thing that makes sense with an LCF would be to strap on 2 turbos onto a new motor, definitely not the 2UR-GSE?? If so it's definitely going to be expensive!!

Scared to think how much they will charge for a F version though. You would be up into P car territory.

Not yet but Lexus did trademark LC-F in the US

Still seems odd that Lexus has two high end coupes, when coupes tend to be dogs in the sales category. Why didn't they just make the RCF and LC as one car???

Im sure it's simply to add more to their lineup and to cater to different demographics.
