USB IS-F vs Dakar F80 M3
I had a buddy stop by yesterday to chat about cars and seeing his car really makes me miss my IS-F. I love the M3 but something about a Japanese V8 muscle car remind me how much I love JDM too!
USB and Dakar are two quite stark contrasting colors, both are super rare and both really "pop" in person!
Enjoy the pics!

I think I did a write-up somewhere else on this forum about the stark contrast differences between the IS-F and M3's. Lexus definitely did something right when they built the IS-F since it's the perfect undercover beast + Daily Driver. The 8-speed auto was not liked by some but I feel it's the best tranny to have for street driving and MPG on the highway. The only drawback to the earlier model IS-F was the choppy suspension but that was easily cured with a set of KWV3's I had installed.
here's a pic of my old SFP IS-F along with some of her garage mates:

Didn't drive the F80, but did drive the M4:
More planted and solid, but that's always the feel from a BMW M car. Acceleration feel is instantaneous...I mean, instantaneous. I can't fathom driving a TT V8 such as the M5 or X5 or X6 M, those have got to feel like a goddamn rocket.
I'll say this, though. Coming from owning only JDM cars, I think European cars have unnecessarily complicated system controls on the dash. On top of that, the cluster feels outdated as these are supposedly the cutting-edge models with HUD and a gazillion sensors. Yet, no true TFT digital display in its entirety (notifications are, though) and the ICE system takes a while to get a grip on. I mean, for God's sake, it's a $80K car, please make it more intuitive for average turds like me. Also, the launch control is like the construct of the tesseract in the Interstellar; the bloody thing just takes forever to engage.
All in all, I still prefer my ISF. Note that both vehicles were test driven at the time of purchase and I had no driven neither prior to the purchase.

I've had a few R8's but ready to move onto a new toy, the v10 R8 with the gated shifter is the crown jewel and everything the NSX should have been. I'm a big fan of naturally aspirated engines and this old generation R8 was the perfect mix with a v10 and the manual tranny. It's too bad all the big name companies have given up on manuals except for Porsche.
thanks man ~my wife and I got married years ago in the NSX and it's a forever keeper that will one day be handed to my kids. There are hundreds of photos of this NSX all over the web so I won't flood this thread with pics but if you want to see more, check out the build thread over on NSXPrime:
Dear Santa, toys for my NA2 White NSX ~
