Default Exhaust gas in cabin

Does anyone notice exhaust gas coming to the cabin at spirit driving? every time I hit the pedal at more than 4k rpm for quick acceleration then the exhaust gas coming to the cabin with. Should I go to the muffler shop to check for any leak in the exhaust or the cat need to be replaced ?

Never. Not even on the road course at racing speed. You need to get your exhaust fixed, it is leaking for sure.

might be the pressure flaps in the trunk that have gone bad.

This could be the reason exhaust gases trapped behind the bumper there is a lot of air space there, I know because when I do some doughnuts on my grass it gets full of grass and dirt.(No I don't eat them or smoke grass) I live on 12 acres and its just to tempting not to do some circle work, my wife calls me a hoon, woman just don't understand or may be as she says (when are you going to grow up, I say never) cheers.

Check passenger flaps and cabin filter bracket - chances are that it's damaged while a new filter was installed (assuming the exhaust you smell is coming in from the cars ahead of you).

I've got a distinct burning smell when I WOT inside the cabin. I always figured it was the cat & that it was normal. ?

I'm going to have to agree with lobuxracer. I had never had any exhaust gas smell in my cabin. Even running catless right now, I do not get any smell. I would get the gas smell if I rolled down my windows but with it up, no smell. Check your recirculation in your cabin. There had been known issues where previous owners broke the flap that covers the cabin air filter.

I used to get this and could never really figure it out until I had to change my Joe-Z back to OEM and found my exhaust leak--> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...aust-leak.html

try and see if yours is leaking from the same area (around the top of the header to exhaust connections).

I smell some type of very strong CO exhaust smell coming to the front cabin from the vents every time I hit quick acceleration above 4k rpm. It must be some type of exhaust leak from the engine exhaust flange connection per the exhaust leak thread. I will bring the car to the muffler shop for a check tomorrow. It's very annoying with strong poisons CO gas !

May or may not be related but I get exhaust smell in the cabin with the windows up and air on interior circulate. I'm pretty sure it's from the cars that are in front of me. From the research I've done, it sounds like it's the Lexus Personal Setting called "Foot Air Leak". Taking my car in soon so they can hopefully disable that setting.

CO is odorless, colorless, and impossible to detect without a special sensor. Please do not tell people they can detect it with their noses, it is truly impossible and why people die from CO poisoning.
