SACRAMENTO RACEWAY is coming to an end...
*Please excuse the punctuation marks on the title as i could not edit the title but yes, SACRAMENTO RACEWAY is coming to an end*
Not sure if any members who drag races know this but in Norcal, SACRAMENTO RACEWAY is coming to an end. There is a petition and I strongly encourage everyone to sign the petition. The owners are forced to sell due to the county and the reason is for using the land for housing development.

Millions upon millions of dollars in overall revenue (permits, taxes, etc.) for the city before and after they build homes, strip malls gas stations; you name it. So they falsely orchestrate noise, code and other violations to push their agenda of a shutdown order. I wonder how many lobbyists and politicians are getting paid under the table to stir this **** up. That drag strip was there since the 60’s when there wasn’t **** around. They develop a massive sub-city called ‘Mather’ in the early 2000’s and those owners are supposedly some of the ones complaining about noise knowing they bought/moved to the area where just over a mile away is a motorsport park. I’d love to subpoena every complaint made, and review all their bank accounts in addition all the government/private entities that are associated with the project on that land. **** you Sacramento.

Nobody complained about the B-52s taking off from Mather AFB when I got to Sac in 1980. They're definitely louder than Top Fuel.
But I do remember being able to hear alcohol/nitro powered cars at my apartment in Rancho in the early 2000's when they had big events. It's sad to see an iconic venue get swallowed by urbanization.
