Clunking NS400 pads part III: conclusion
So, here's part three to this complete waste of time saga...
I had my mechanic install new oem caliper clips, etc on the front calipers to try to better grip the NS 400 pads and stop them from moving around so much and clunking over road imperfections.
Well, LONG story short, it ain't the clips. The pads are EXACTLY the same as they were before.
So, that leads to only ome of two conclusions: that the particular pads that I got are F'd up and for some reason smaller than what most others have received, or everyone has the same noise with the NS400s and they simply don't notice it ( no way this is possible).
What a frustrating waste of time......I'm so pissed...

Yeah I just got NS400 pads in about a month ago and I hear no clunking noises. I drive with the radio off a lot so I'm sure I would've heard it by now. I did pads and rotors at the same time and heard no noises out of the ordinary(was listening for squealing like the oem jurid pads)

Glad to hear it. If you have windows open and go over a slight indent in the road without applying pressure to the brake pedal you would hear it.
It seems from my earlier posts at I'm not the only one this has happened to with the NS400s, but it seems as though I am the unlucky minority! Aside from the clunking, they're my favorite brake pads of all time
Dammit.......

Have you tried a heavy layer of copper based anti-seize on the back of the pad and the shim. It should help hold the pads in place when not braking.
