Life After ISF
I usually buy my cars 3-4 years old as I did with my ISF so I don't take the initial depreciation hit. I've enjoyed every minute with it but I like seeing the new cars on the road and can't believe how refreshed some of the interiors appear compared to my 2012. With that said, what new cars today do you think you'll either replace your ISF with or add to your stable in 3-4 years?
I personally would have to get some seat time in each to decide but right now would go with(keeping it in the predicted $45k range):
2016 Camaro ZL1
2016 Lexus GSF
2016 C63 AMGS

Those are all good choices. While I enjoy my F and its potent V8, I've been wanting something completely different. If I end up selling my F next year, on my short list is a Lotus Exige S240. If I keep it, probably a Lotus Elise SC. I've always had a soft spot for light weight purist cars. Plus they are holding their value really well at the moment.

I'm keeping F, Next toy I'm looking at, in about 2yrs 2016 Grandsport vette, 2014 Caymen S perhaps GT350R or Camaro ZL1. As much as I like GSF, C63 M3 their to similar to ISF. Looking to get back to more of sport car performance vs super sedan.

I'm with OP, 2-4 year old, well maintained car and you're essentially getting a new car without the new car price, lol.
But I'm kinda feeling the Jaguar F-type SVR or the LCF once it drops.
Highly doubt I'll sell the F though. Special vehicle in a lot of different ways.

I went with a higher mileage 15' gtr last year and saved almost 40k off the sticker. Couldn't be happier! Faster than 99% of cars on the road, comfortable, has every option i want(nav/climate control/great sound system)

Im planning to keep my F for a long, long time, but i'll definitely add to the stable. Im thinking something that is purely a weekend/fair weather driver so my wish list is:
-MKIV Supra targa/"sport roof" (though if the value jumps when the new Supra is released, like the NSX did, this probably wont be likely)
-Pre-1992 Porsche 911 Targa. Yes, i have a thing for Targas
-R34 Skyline GT-R. Its one of the advantages us Canadians have over the Americans, these are already fair game for us, the US has another 7 years to go!

Nothing puts power to the ground like a GT-R. Much easier to manuever than a Z06. Always feel with that much power I'm going to kill myself in a Z06 or other rear wheel drive car.

Either GSF or C63S is next for me. The new C class is lightyears ahead of the lexus interior. Just owning an AMG off warranty is a bit scary to me (it's why I'm not driving a previous gen C63 right now).

As much as I would love another "sports" car, its not realistic with a family right now. I'll just keep and drive my F until the wheels fall off at this point. We're in need of an SUV -OR- something that doesn't guzzle as much gas since I commute daily. Tesla?
If my wife didn't care and let me add into the stable, for $45K, I'd also look into C63, CTS-V, or even the Vette....maybe an older Porsche?

Same here regarding the AMG but the interiors are quite nice on the new C63S and that V8TT has huge power potential. My only reservation with the GSF is that it will be about as quick as my ISF and won't give me the 'eyeballs to the back of your head' thrust the ZL1 or C63S will deliver.
