Clicking noise turning wheel? *video*

Bumping an old thread.
I have this exact issue.
Car was making these noises before these parts were replaced and still making them after.
Thought would be easier fix. In the process i have replaced
Upper control arms and ball joints, brand new repacked with grease
Lower ball joints, repacked with grease
Sway bar endlinks brand new torqued to 62ft lbs
The bolts in post 17 were torqued to 89 ft pound then i even tightened them more.
Still getting this noise
I had the car on an alignment rack, and would refused to make the noise
As soon as the car got off the rack started making noise, went back on no noise again.
I took a video of the wheel turning on the ground and the noise.
Take this with a grain of salt, It DOES NOT sound like its coming from the strut it sounds like its coming from the lower portion of the suspension.
The lower control arm is stock with the exception of Poly rear control arm bushings from super pro.
sounds kind of hollow the pop. Any ideas?

Can you feel the pop in the steering wheel? That's really loud.
The other thing is to loosen and retorque all the front suspension bolts. Upper and lower pivots, ball joints to bottom of upright, top of upright to upper control arm, shock bolts, and swaybar end links. I once found the nut on the tie rod end was not fully tightened and it made a really annoying clicking, but it wasn't nearly as loud as yours is.
The other thing is to loosen and retorque all the front suspension bolts. the suspension stuff has been removed and reinstalled multiple times for diagnostic purposes, everything was triple checked for torque and was moly greased so it wouldn't bind.
My next guess is im going to try to remove the struts or lube them not sure yet, but it is very loud especially outside

I can save you the trouble of having to check, complete all that work. What you need to actually replace is the clock spring / spiral cable behind the steering wheel. It’s a fairly easy part to replace and depending on aftermarket ($15-$50) or OEM ($225-$350) not all that expensive to do it yourself.

Following this thread. I have the exact same issue with my 2014 ISF. However, it only happens when the car is in drive with my foot on the brake. Not in parked.
After replacing my rotors and brake pads, the noise went away for a few days, but it came back.

I had this exact same issue and during those exact instances you described. The shop I took it too after I moved found the culprit causing the clicking. After checking and torquing things to spec, they found out it was the dust shield that was slightly bent that would cause the clicking sound. Bent it back into place and low and behold, clicking sounds went away and haven't been back since and that was three years ago. Might want to check it out.

That doesn't make a lot of sense. The springs and shocks never rotate, so if it is the cause of clicking, something is broken on the shock. That would be very unusual.

I'd suggest using ChassisEAR to narrow it down. I've previously had several mechanics chasing a noise and failed until the dealership used ChassisEAR to pin point the source in less than an hour.
