^^^^Misunderstood, but that's not what you said. When I had stock 9" wheels, I ran 285/30/19 Bridgestone S-04s. Others who tried the combo I ran, didn't like it. I did. Although 285/30/19 is pushing it on a 9" wheel. As I said, 9½" is within manufacturer's specs. Here is a thread with pics that I started:

Thanks!
What do you guys think the best setup between the two?
- Size: 275/35/19R or 285/35/19 rear (to go with 255/35/19F)
- Brand: Firehawk Indy500 vs General G-Max
Thanks!

indy500 has seen some good reviews. Don't know about gmax. The indy500 275/35/19 is definitely the better choice though not best. 285/35 is too tall, it's 3.5% larger diameter over stock. Personally I would opt for 275/30 on the 2012 wheels and I believe this has been the most popular choice here. Plus oddly enough, Tire Rack lists the indy500 275/30 with 10" tread width while the 275/35 and 285/35 are 9.6" and 9.8" respectively.

Why not go with a 285/30 in the rear? That's a more fitting size and what I run (Indy500) on my '12+ wheels. It fits, doesn't bulge out and looks decently phat from behind

he covers sizing for stock 2012

I went with a 275/35/19R and 255/35/19F because of the poor road conditions where I live. It's a DD that I used to commute from Westchester County to New York City 5 days a week so I needed something with a little bit taller sidewall since I kept getting bubbles on my lower profile Tires. I put 275/35 PS4S from the wife's GS F on my 2014 wheels and had some rubbing issues. Not sure a 285/35 isn't going to rub with the later model wheels. They are +51 ET where the earlier wheels are all +55 ET. That 4mm makes a big difference for clearance.

Good to know, I've been considering some +40 wheels. Were you at stock height with the rubbing?

The Indy500 has a rounded sidewall so you may be able to pull it off. Michelins tend to be more square, and run wider also. The >3% diameter difference with a 285/35 isn't a great idea, however.
Have you looked into the Conti ECS? Those also come in 285/30.
