Default Another winter tire/rim question and TPMS

Do any of you run a winter tire/rim setup without TPMS? our winters are pretty short and I don't need the TPMS features. Would not running a TPMS in my winter setup affect other parts of the car like ABS or traction control?

I ran a winter setup without TPMS without issue on my previous 350, and will this year on my F. No issues other than the TPMS light on the dash.

Five seasons with winter wheels without TPMS. No issues. I only really pull the car out on clear sunny winter days maybe once or twice a month in the winter but nevertheless there is no issue with not having TPMS except the annoying orange light.

No issues with not using tpms. One of the nice things about the 2IS is that it stores two sets of tpms; great for two sets of wheels incase you decide.

as others have said, no other effects other than he blinking TPMS light and annoying check system message.
You can get a set of Denso TPMS sensors for about $150 and then $100 to install and program and call it a day. I switch between my 2012 F wheels, BBS LMs and RCF wheels and have proper sensors in all 3 sets. A quick trip to the tire shop gets them paired to the car so I don't have to look at nuisance lights .
