to say "it didn't pass inspection" could mean anything....
most dealers have their own criteria for inspections, its not usually some master inspection detail all dealers in country follow... unless its Lexus certified or something like that, but even then dealers can really do whatever they want.... some dealers wont allow anything on their lot to retailed if it has been modified at all, even if its perfectly fine, or maybe it needed another round of breaks or tires, which would have put the profit margin to low to retail it... so just because it didn't end up "passing inspection" at this dealer, doesn't mean there is something specifically wrong with it, also not saying there isn't something wrong with it... i don't know...
But thats relatively ambiguous to just state "it didn't pass inspection", if they said it wouldn't pass emissions, or safety inspection, or drive test because the frame is bent, or its rusted out from Houston floods? Or did it just scare the dealer because its a modified performance car, but its other wise safe and sound? Some more information on the inspection would be a good starting point. It very well could pass in California after failing in TX. Dealers do this all the time, because they don't want issues 90 days from now or someone to sue them because they didn't disclose something they didn't know about to begin with....

....ok, well this is a high performance sports sedan....they get driven hard whether on the street or on the track... you'll never know. I suggest buying a brand new RCF or GSF if you want piece of mind knowing the full history. Zero ISFs out there that haven't been driven hard, lol. If no owner got the full potential out of their Family, they would have bought an IS250 or something.
