After parking my 2011 in November and maybe 11 miles on it since I decided to list it for sale...
First we try Craigslist.. Massive fail! Every tire kicker came out of the wood work! I quickly decided that I would be better off just losing , what I thought would be $2k, and having carmax make easy.
After an hour wait at a buying center.... $24k :0 isn't that like IS350 money?
Needless to say I didn't take it.
Guess it is going back on the lift until summer and then I'll try bring a trailer!

What's your VIN?
Run it through blackbook and kbb
blackbookportals.com/bb/products/usedcarHTMLportal.asp?func=100&color=d&cntl=18303B9BdD1AYB37B1BRTB&ur=False&vusel=N&companyid=cudirect.co&cust=&vinchange=Y&showwholesale=True&showretail=True&showtradein=True
You can also submit it to texas direct auto and see what they say
Those few sources should give you a very accurate range of what the car is worth

My Carmax experience was awful. I scheduled a time for an appraisal and when I arrived, I had to wait for 35 minutes before an employee was available to appraise my car. What was the point of making an appointment? On top of that, they low-balled me claiming that I had frame damage to my car (I'd never been in an accident in my 3). I'll probably never go back there unless I'm absolutely desperate to sell a car.

I've played with a good number of calculators. Kbb and black book show $29 k on a trade. I understand some discount if I am not buying from them but $5k is a bit aggressive

Vroom offered me the same as Carmax. Mine is a 2008 with 68k miles clean title but it shows a fender bender on the car history and they offered me 20K. Carmax has a ISF for sale with 89k miles that scored lower than my car according to CARFAX and they are selling it for 29K. F them....
Just be patient.
