you're getting screwed on this repair. Are you sure the mechanic actually flushed the transmission several times before telling you it's dead? what color is the transmission fluid now? Have him drain it in front of you and make sure the fluid comes out looking like new. I highly doubt the transmission is already dead that quickly.
