Pretty disappointing 1/4 mile runs

I agree what others have said. Sounds like getting off the line was your biggest problem. I did a 1.89s 60ft in a 450whp S2000 on all season street tires. Lighter and more power but probably similar torque and the tires were **** compared to drag radials... anything above 2 is definitely too far from ideal. I think the general rule of thumb is the time you improve in the 60ft is roughly doubled in the 1/4 mile so by that maybe if you got your 60ft down to 1.8 you could shave off nearly a full second of your 1/4 mile time. Doubt you'll get anything more than speculation on the issue without data logs though. Probably best if you can do some more runs where you can collect data. Even some quick pulls on the street might be enough with proper data logging.

I was idling in the staging lanes for more than 10 minutes at a time. I didn't do any logging, but I can bet the iats were up there. My techstream computer just decided not to work so I can't check the kclv numbers. With the top end mph, with a perfect run, what do you think would have been the et? Also what are your recommendations on the burnout. I'm still learning that lol. I have kosei k6r rims with NT05R tires .

Always shut the car off in the staging lanes, did you notice most people push the cars in the lanes? Launching with some rpm is good as well, go find an abandoned back road and experiment with launching.

Our cars don’t launch any better by revving it up it’s been proven by multiple people on here. I’ve hit 1.79 a handful of times with the mash the gas technique. The biggest restriction in my opinion is the torque converter you can hold the rpms all you want it just bogs down off the line.

While your launch is definitely not in the low 12's, a trap speed of 109 says you are not making good power. Trap should be 112 to 114 if you are thinking lowish 12s. Heat soak could be killing you, but you really should do a basic health check on the engine to be sure your rings and valves are sealing well.

Yep, trap speed is a good indicator of power, 109 is pretty weak, probably will need 115+ mph to hit bottom 12s.
Its always hard to figure out whats going on with a car without being able to datalog a bunch of stuff, without that information you are just guessing.

Def seems on the slower side for a modded F in those conditions.
Maybe try resetting the computer by unplugging the battery and putting a few gallons of race gas or good octane booster in it, keep the hood open to keep the car cool and see if that helps

Yeah its weird. I'm going to do some tests etc. I do a lot of stop and go city driving, daily driving the car. I wonder if that has a bit to do with it. I barely get any full throttle passes anywhere.
