In my opinion, regardless of the mount choosen, the cabin has no extra room and none of the mounting solutions Ive seen will be free of compromise. Only solution Ive considered is a flexible long-armed mount mounted on the passenger side center console. This solution, though Ive not tried it yet, will have to be low mounted to avoid interference with the glove box door opening and not be intrusive to the passenger foot well too bad (though obviously some intrusion will be inevitable). Its frustrating, makes me miss my 13 es300h that had an extra cupholder forward on the console and was perfect for the in cupholder mounts. For now my cell phone sits in the passenger seat or in the door pocket or center console when I have a passenger.

What is it with utube does everyone have to explain how to, in a 10 min video on the most basic things, god help me if I get bitten by a snake I wont look up utube.

I use a CD Slot magnetic phone holder. Sits well in the slot and the magnet is strong enough that the phone barely moves so it works well for me.
Never been a fan of ones that sits on the aircon vents etc and by sitting in the middle i can adjust it so i can clearly see it if i need to.
I charge my phone at home and work so i hardly require to charge it whilst driving so using the magnet doesnt bother me as it does effect wireless charging otherwise

along with the quick mount that is used for it. I don't have a LifeProof case anymore but you can use the mounts on any hard case that is flat.
