How to turn off the factory TPMS?
Ok this may be weird question to ask, but the factory TPMS doesn't tell you the psi of your tires... so when I upgraded my wheels and got brand new tires I also purchased an aftermarket TPMS. This new TPMS is super cool where it tells my PSI of each tire and updates every 10 seconds (or more). But... the tire pressure warning light lit up on my dash... and the old sensors are in my old wheels of course. I was wondering if there was a way to permanently turn off that stupid light because it's bothersome and since I use an aftermarket TPMS with its own LCD screen I won't need to see it. Any help would be much appreciated.
I attached a picture of one of my new wheels to keep this thread from being boring. It is a Litespeed Racing CB10 19x9 (front) & 19x10 (rear).

Nice wheels!! what brand your sensors are? I been looking for smart one for a while on my other cars. Can't find one that has good reviews. One of the way I can think of is removing the light from the dash board? Shouldn't be too complicated...

The factory sensors do all this as well, but for some reason (probably to avoid owners asking dumb questions) they left out this capability on a performance platform. I would totally understand if this were a classic Lexus where the owners know next to nothing about their cars, but on this one it just doesn't make sense. All the later F models have pressure readings on the combination meter.

Can't you just program the new sensors as the second set to get rid of the warning light? Unless I'm mistaken, there's only-way communications taking place (sensors --> ecu and/or device). If that's the case, then both the OEM & aftermarket systems should be able to read the sensor output simultaneously.
